Privacy Information
for the Hub
The Friendly Childminders' Hub has been created using Mighty Networks.

Mighty Networks refer to the people who create communities within their platform as hosts, so the host of the Friendly Childminders' Hub is Sam Heaven. To find out more about her, see here.
Mighty Networks has a privacy policy on their website that pertains to both the host and the members of their communities, such as the Friendly Childminders' Hub.

Privacy Information for This Website
This website has been created using Wix and it's been provided to share information about the Friendly Childminders' Hub.

If you send a message through the contact facility, your email address and message will be received by the founder, Sam Heaven. This personal information is used for communication purposes only, to answer your enquiry.
You are not added to a subscription mailing list and your information is never shared with or sold to a third party! That would be a sly move and it's not what the Friendly Childminders' Hub is about!

Privacy Policy for
the Hub
Your privacy is important and this policy explains how your personal information is collected, used and protected within the Friendly Childminders' Hub.

When people try to join the Hub, they are asked a series of simple memberships questions to help the host, Sam Heaven, to ascertain if a person is genuine in their request. These answers remain within the Hub and are only seen by the host, who uses them to determine if a person can become a member. For more information about who can join the Hub, please have a look here.
In addition to privacy and protecting information, safeguarding is also of paramount importance! To find out more about the Hub's safeguarding policy, please see here.

The personal information collected upon joining the Hub includes name, email address, profile details and membership answers. These remain within Mighty Networks and this information is never shared with or sold to a third party.
There is an exception to this scenario which is; if a person dishonestly gains access to the Friendly Childminders' Hub and there are safeguarding concerns, then their personal details and any relevant content maybe shared with the Police.

Hub members are welcome to post content, such as details about themselves, ask questions, seek advice and provide support for others in the Hub. Due to the nature of the childminding community, sometimes that information can be personal and members may seek advice to support with a family in their care. When this occurs, names and identifying pieces of information should be left out of the post to protect privacy.
To reiterate an important point from the safeguarding policy, photos of children (anyone under the age of 18) are not to be shared within the Hub at all. Experience from the Facebook group (see Story Behind the Hub) has taught that sometimes a childminder may wish to share a photo of their own child, for example in a World Book Day outfit, but this is just not acceptable in the Facebook group or the Hub. Photos of children are absolutely not allowed in the Hub under any circumstances.
Important points like this make up the rules that members must adhere too. Failure to comply with the membership rules means that a person's subscription will be cancelled.
Everything that a member posts within the Hub can be seen by other members and that content will remain within the Hub even if a member is no longer a subscriber. A member can remove their content whilst they still have a subscription and the host can remove content at any time if it is deemed inappropriate.
