Funded Childcare 
in Northern Ireland

Funded childcare for use within a childminding setting is not available in Northern Ireland.  But if your family is eligible, you may be able to claim tax free childcare!  To find out more about what that entails, please have a nosey here, which will take you to a dedicated section on this website.​​​​​​

Northern Ireland offers a Pre School Education Programme, which offers 12.5 funded hours to all children aged 3 and 4, for a total of 475 hours per year.
